This lovely vintage Heuer is in unpolished – as is – condition, The movement has been fully serviced and the crystal replaced, the case, dial and bezel are left untouched. The case lugs edges a little worn and the outer rim of the bezel is likewise a little worn but the winding crown and the pushers are the originals from the first execution. The dial has not been touched the hands are all original, about 40% of the lume on the dial and the hands is still present. THE AUTAVIA 2446C The 1st Execution Autavia 2446C came into production in 1968, it was an entirely new Heuer case with thicker chamfered lugs and a snap-on back which made it more waterproof. The present example is the rare 1st execution, which has the plain steel hands and plain baton numerals – the 2nd execution examples being more numerous and having fluted chronograph pushers with additional black/red enamel dial decoration and a red chronograph hand. |
